The 2007 Annual Conference

This is our first posting. Our Conference this year was themed "Communication Innovations" and held in Orlando. I am a bit biased having served on the planning committee, but the program was invigorating and the participants were motivating. This blog is a direct result of one of our speakers encouraging us to get involved and connect with some of our new media outlets. I am inviting all our attendees to share their thoughts.
More from me later.

As another conference committee member, I was gratified to hear so many positive comments about the conference from attendees. I heard one first time attendee say she was definitely coming back to future conferences. I've got a list of Jay's technology tools and I'm working on cloning myself so I can try them all! --Lynn

What a great variety of speakers! So much to learn and so little time, but Jay's session really motivated me. I'm sure my clients will benefit, too. Jenny

I think our conference committee raised the bar with this year's slate of speakers. Thanks to all who helped to plan such a dynamic, motivating conference. Can't wait until next year!

Clarrence Darrow said, "Chase after the truth like all hell and you'll free yourself, even though you never touch its coat-tails."

He could have been speaking of Helen Thomas. Of journalism she said,"In our hands lies the ability to ruin reputations and lives. I do not take that responsibility lightly."

Her acceptance speech was a wonderful conference highlight. Mary Kay Switzer, AWC Board
